The City of Galion
Fire Department has been awarded a $74,000 FEMA grant to help protect
the citizens of Galion and Polk Township.
The funding will provide the
following items,
FREE OF CHARGE, to our residents:
*Smoke Detectors (2 per household) OR
*10 year lithium battery replacement for functioning, existing
smoke alarms in need.
*Reflective Numbered House Signs
The Fire Department will also provide, upon request, a free Home Fire
Safety Inspection.

Public Water System Consumer Confidence Report
for the City of Galion Water Treatment
The Galion Water Treatment Plant has prepared the
attached report to provide information to you, the consumer, on the
quality of our drinking water. Included within this report is general
health information, water quality test results, how to participate in
decisions concerning your drinking water and water system contacts. For
more information call the Water Treatment Plant at 419-468-1393.
Heise Park Veteran's Memorial Paving
Bricks Available
for installation before Memorial Day
Inscribed Bricks are available in two sizes - 4x8 for $50 and 8x8 for
$100. Inscriptions may include name, rank, branch of service, unit,
conflict, in memory of or any of these combinations.
Applications for
installation before Memorial Day are due to City Hall by Friday, May
10th. Any applications received after this date will be held for
installation before Veteran's Day in November. Applications are
available at the Galion City Building, Longstreth Memorials, Galion
Public Library and local Veteran Clubs.

ROAD COMPOSTING FACILITY OPEN THIS WEEKEND
MAY 17 & 18 FROM 7:30 AM UNTIL 2:30 PM BOTH DAYS.
Yard and landscape waste such as limbs, brush, grass, weeds and leaves
are accepted FREE of charge from City of Galion and Polk Township
residents. Chemically treated wood, such as deck material and railroad
ties, will not be accepted. If you have any questions, please call

mass notification provider - Emergency Communications Network's (ECN)
CodeRED. ECN recently acquired all One Call Now's Government Emergency
