Commercial Building Fees

*All fees subject to 3% State Fee of total

1. Plan Examination Fee: $200.00 per structure or addition, plus $4.00 for
   each one hundred (100) sq. ft. or fraction thereof, with the maximum per
   building being $2000.00. Plan examination is payable upon application
   for building permit and is non-refundable.
    
2. Building Permit Fee: $250.00, plus $5.00 for each one hundred (100) sq. ft. or fraction thereof.
    
3. Sprinkler Plan Examination Fee: $150.00 of sprinkled area, plus $3.20 per each one hundred (100) sq. ft. or fraction thereof.
    
4. Sprinkler Installation Permit fee: $100.00
    
5. Electrical Permit fees for commercial and industrial structures or uses shall be as follows:
   (a) New Construction -$75.00 minimum
   To 12,000 sq. ft. $.05 per sq. ft.
   12,001 and over $0.005 per sq. ft.
   Maximum fee: $2,000 plus 3% state tax
    
6. Smoke and Fire Alarm Fees:
   1 through 5 stations $100.00
   6 through 20 stations $150.00
   over 20 stations $200.00
    
7. Refrigeration Permit fees shall be as follows:
   Up to ½ HP $10.00
   Up to ½ to 1 HP $15.00
   Up to 1 HP to 5 HP $20.00
   Over 5 HP $50.00
    
8. Warm air furnaces, boilers and combination heating and cooling
   units (gas or electric):
   Up to 100,000 BTU or 29,300 watts $100.00
   Up to 200,000 BTU or 58.6 KW $125.00
   Up to 300,000 BTU or 87.9 KW $150.00
   Over 300,000 BTU or 87.9 KW
   Add for each additional 100,000 BTU $ 25.00
    
9. Electric Perimeter Radiant Heating:
   The fee for electric baseboard or radiant heating shall be based on
   the total wattage as set forth above.
    
10. Heat Pumps:
    ½ ton but not 1 ton $50.00
    1 ton but not 5 tons $60.00
    5 tons but not 10 tons $70.00
    Each additional 5 tons
    or fraction $25.00
     
11. Air Conditioning Systems:
    All up to but not 5 tons $50.00
    Each additional 5 tons $10.00
     
12. Ventilating systems:
    201 to 1,000 cfm $25.00
    1,001 to 5,000 cfm $35.00
    5,000 to 10,000 cfm $50.00
    Each additional 10,000 cfm $50.00
     
13. Commercial alterations where
    unit not being changed:
    Per opening $10.00
     
14. Steam or hot water heating plant fee:
    New installation, each boiler $100.00
    Replacement of boiler or units $ 50.00
