City of Galion Ordinance 86-5557 as modified by Ordinance 94-6097
establishes a Board of Zoning Appeals. The Board is empowered to grant
zoning variances and to hear appeals of zoning rulings.
To request a variance or to initiate an appeal, contact the City
Building and Zoning Office at 301 Harding Way East, (419) 468-2642. All work on the project for which you are requesting a
variance must cease pending a final determination by the Board of Zoning
Appeals, unless the City Manager or the Board determines that to cease
work would cause imminent peril to life or property.
