The Portland Way North reconstruction project was completed earlier this week. The road is now open to all traffic.
The project began June 26 in the section of Portland Way North from Heise Park Lane to Carter Drive. 600 feet of sewer line was replaced and the roadway was entirely reconstructed. The project was completed one week ahead of schedule.
The City wishes to thank all of the businesses and residents affected by the project, as well as all of the drivers, for their patience during construction.
The contractor will return to the site soon to make minor grade corrections to the concrete. The city will announce when a date has been scheduled and note any temporary changes in traffic maintenance.
The City has also been working with the Ohio Department of Transportation to warrant a traffic signal at the intersection of State Route 598 and Brandt Road in order to improve driver safety in that area.
